Nus Solutions for IT system upgrade

Data center infrastructure upgrade

NUS Solutions carried out a full upgrade of Seahawk’s data center infrastructure. The existing servers had reached end-of-life both in terms of hardware and software, creating increased risk of failures and limited scalability.
As part of the project, new infrastructure was deployed, and all physical and virtual machines were upgraded. Files, applications, and business systems were migrated to the new architecture, ensuring improved performance and greater reliability.

High availability & failover cluster

To ensure high availability, a failover cluster solution was implemented. This architecture allows multiple servers to operate as a single system. In case of a server failure, workloads are automatically transferred to another node without service interruption.

This implementation significantly reduces the risk of downtime, allows maintenance tasks without operational disruption, and ensures the continuous operation of the company’s critical applications.

Disaster recovery in Microsoft Azure

Additionally, a disaster recovery solution was implemented using Microsoft Azure. Critical company systems are replicated to cloud infrastructure, enabling rapid service restoration in case of major failure or data center outage.

This solution adds an extra layer of business continuity and significantly reduces operational risk, ensuring that the company can quickly return to full operation, even in cases of malicious attacks.

Business applications

Inspection booking Power App

NUS Solutions developed a booking application that allows the company to schedule vessel inspections through partners worldwide. The application was built as a Power App and functions as an inspection calendar, where all available inspectors and scheduled inspections are recorded.

This allows the company to schedule inspections, manage partners, and maintain full visibility of global availability.

Power BI reporting

In parallel, NUS Solutions developed a reporting tool using Power BI, which retrieves data from the system used by the company to record technical characteristics and operational data of vessels.

The data includes information such as fuel consumption, technical failures, vessel operational metrics, and operating costs. These insights are presented in a visualized format through dashboards, charts, and reports, enabling Seahawk to monitor fleet performance and make more informed business decisions.
