Blue gr is a hotel group with resorts in Athens and Crete. As it operates hotel properties across different locations, it has increased requirements for network security and reliable IT infrastructure operations.
Infrastructure upgrade
NUS Solutions undertook the full upgrade of the IT infrastructure across Blue.gr’s hotel units, aiming to improve system reliability and support growing operational needs. The existing servers had reached end-of-life and required replacement both in terms of hardware and software.
A new backup strategy was designed, with data backups stored both on NAS storage and on external drives, creating a second layer of data protection.
New servers were installed in four hotels located in Athens and Crete. At the same time, the virtualization infrastructure was upgraded, including the reinstallation and modernization of virtual machines so they could operate on the new architecture.
NUS Solutions replaced all firewalls across the hotels’ network points. Additionally, a new firewall was installed at the company’s central data center, while security policies, access rules, and network configurations were redefined.
